He walked up to her, and saw that her friend was a boy her age, probably.
"Bethany? Can I-" Zane started to talk but she cut him off.
"Oh, Zane! Hi! I was meaning to talk to you about something."
"Oh?"
"Yeah! You see, this friend of mine, beside me..."
"Oh I see. So you guys are...?"

Making its way to a ruin ahead of him, the gecko stopped for a moment to make sure nothing was following him. Seeing nothing, the gecko ran ahead and entered a small gave formed from two knocked over pillars. He apporached it and stopped when a voice from inside called out.
"Did you see anything, Rosco?" a girl's voice called out. The owner of the voice slowly crawled on her hands and knees to pick up the small lizard.
The lizard flicked his tongue two times.

Elaine looked over where Calista saw her brother.
"Oh, it seems like he's talking to some girl."
"Really? Does he know here?"
"I don't think so. We don't know many people here."

After the hay ride ended they got off and went to see Zane, who appeared to be exchanging phone numbers with the mystery girl.
"Zane, hi!" Calista called, with Elaine waving behind her.
"Hey, you are having a good time?" Zane asked.
"Yes! Who is this?" Elaine asked.
